Tagima Guitars: Quality•Integrity•Design

The reunion between Tagima and Marutec happened in 1996. Tagima was already a well-known brand at the time in the musician’s underground culture and Marutec was also an important company for musical equipment and electronics known for its strength and rapid growth. The brand started to attend and exhibit at major international fairs such as MusikMesse Frankfurt (Germany) and the NAMM Show in Los Angeles. The Guitar Institute of Technology (IG&T) agreed to use Tagima instruments in their classes, bringing in more brand recognition. The factory was moved to a new location in São Paulo, with investments in equipment to increase production, improving work processes, expanding the sales network and implementing distribution, advertising and marketing actions. These were all measures taken that resulted in the dynamic maturity of the company.

Márcio Zaganin, Brazil’s greatest luthier and one of the best luthiers in the world, is currently responsible for production, quality control and new product development. Instruments that are manufactured both in Brazil and abroad are always made with the highest quality control standards. The manufacturing process of these products in other countries is closely monitored by the company’s technical representatives and often by Márcio himself. All imported products are checked and revised by a highly trained luthier team.

Recent launches include the new Signature series models Chameleon, RF-200, New Blues and others; new Brazil series model True Range, and other additions to our Tagima instrumental family. After decades of solidifying its name in Brazil, the brand now seeks the international spotlight. Today there are official distributors in Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, China, United States, and further expansion projects are underway as well. Tagima has been present at the NAMM Show in Anaheim since 2016, showcasing yearly what our team can bring to your music experience.
